WordPress and Internet Marketing Coaching for Normal Person

Organize Your Series Like A Pro

Darren, Darren, Darren… Always with the dreamy, pie-in-the-sky, be all you can be posts. You’ve got to love all the great advice Darren Rowse at Problogger gives to budding young bloggers and writers like us. Earlier this week, Larry Brooks from Storyfix.com guest posted at Problogger about why and how we should write series on our blogs. It’s a great post and totally true. So many writers try to cover too much in one post and in doing so, really cover nothing. But here at MyNameIsAngie.com, we’re about coaching you how to build your own website…so when Problogger said, “Go write a series,” my first thought was, “Great! All these people are going to go write a series because Problogger said to do it, and five months from now all of those series are going to be forgotten about and buried within their sites.” It doesn’t have to be that way.

If you’re using WordPress (please, tell me you’re using WordPress already), the videos below will show you how to find, install and use a plugin called Organize Series. Keep your hard earned series from being relegated to page 28 of your site.

And yes, I know I could have made a series of these four videos…

Hi Angie,

I found your link on ProBlogger on the series page. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I would have never though to even look for a plugin to manage series. I see that it will be extremely useful!

Thanks again!
Gwen

Thanks Gwen - I see that you're doing the 30 Day Challenge over at your site. Good luck - I'll be checking in. I've recently started doing Problogger's 31 Days to a Better Blog and find it challenging to FOCUS even if for a little bit each day!

Good luck!
